Adult supervision is required for all children at the SDC under age 12. All questions can be sent to ambengry@mtu.edu.
Open/Lap Swim
- Open/lap swim is offered at each mid day and evening time (The lap pool is divided with 5 lanes for lap swimmers and an open area in the lap pool and diving well for family pool time, personal workouts, or walking).
- All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian (age 18+) in the pool area.
- Any child under 12 who is unable to pass the swim test must be accompanied by a guardian (age 18+) in the water.
- Life jackets must be worn by any child who is not being held by the guardian (age 18+) in the water.
- The accompanying guardian must remain within a close enough distance in the water to assist and control the child if needed.
- Swim Test: Jump into deep water and fully submerge, tread water for 45 seconds, swim 25 yards and exit pool.
Lap Swim
- All 6am-9am and 6am-8am times are lap swim only (all lane lines in lap pool).
