• User accounts (unique emails) are required to rent equipment and/or purchase admission.
• Note: Due to system constraints, only current students, faculty, and staff may use an MTU email. All others must use or create a different email address to create an account.

Rules

• Check-in with Skate Rental Attendant prior to entering locker room.
• Non-MTU contracted private lessons are not permitted.
• Max capacity of 20 participants per session.
• Session is non-contact: no body checking or deliberate hits.
• Helmets required for all participants; full face mask recommended for youth.
• Hockey gloves, shin guards, elbow pads, and mouth guards strongly recommended. Michigan Tech is not responsible for anything resulting in a lack of optional equipment.
• Only proper ice hockey skates, sticks, and pucks allowed.
• No slap shots unless expressly permitted by staff; controlled shooting only.
• No scrimmages, organized games.
• This is a hockey-specific ice session, no figure skating or open skate-like activities
• Keep puck controlled. No dumping pucks into corners and leaving them' retrieve ad clear quickly.
• Nets only in designated locations and must be placed/taken down by staff or with staff permission.
• No fighting, high-sticking, boarding, or dangerous play; penalties include removal from ice and possible suspension.
• Report ice hazards, broken glass, or injuries to staff immediately.
