Registration and payment can be completed online or at the SDC Ticket Office. Shooting Range release, safety briefing, and weapons registry will be completed on event day. The SDC is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please do not leave valuables unattended.

Ready, Aim, Fire! Join us for an exciting and educational evening at Ladies Night at the Shooting Range. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a first-timer, this event is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of pistol shooting in a fun, safe, and supportive atmosphere. Come learn proper safety and handling techniques, try out a variety of pistols, and find the one that feels right for you—all while having a great time with other women at the range!

Event Highlights

  • Intro to Pistol Shooting: This event is perfect for women who are new to shooting or want to refine their skills. Learn the basics of pistol shooting, including proper safety, handling, and firing techniques.
  • Try Different Pistols: Ever wonder which pistol is the best fit for you? This is your chance to try a variety of pistols and see which one you shoot best! Get hands-on experience with different models and calibers.
  • Fun and Safe Atmosphere: Our top priority is ensuring a fun and safe environment for all participants. Our friendly instructors will guide you through the process with one-on-one attention, making sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.
  • Ammunition Included: Your $15 entry includes 50 rounds of .22 LR ammo, perfect for getting familiar with your firearm. Afterward, you'll have the opportunity to purchase additional 9mm or other ammo to continue shooting.
  • Target Practice & Tight Groups: Improve your aim and precision as you engage with targets throughout the evening. Take part in friendly challenges and test your shooting skills.
  • All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this event is designed to accommodate shooters of all levels. We’ll help you build confidence and skills in a relaxed, encouraging setting.

What to Bring

  • Your best aim and a willingness to learn!
  • Comfortable clothing (closed-toe shoes recommended)
  • We’ll provide the rest: firearms, ammo, targets, and instruction.

About the Instructor

Jeff Stroud, educational consultant, started 906 Tactical in August 2008. Jeff is the MTU Range Master as well as a NRA Chief Range Safety Officer & Instructor, Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners (MCRGO) Master instructor, Range Master Master pistol instructor,  I.C.E. Defensive Coach & Counter Ambush Training instructor, US Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Defensive lvl 1 instructor, MCOLES authorized trainer, a cadre-level instructor for Combat Speed LLC, a graduate of Dave Spaulding's Legacy Complete Package Course, and a graduate of Shivworks ECQC Course.

Jeff is a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), the US Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the RUDY Project National Shooting Team, and the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).
