Multipurpose Room and Indoor Track Rules

Requirements for Entry

A valid Michigan Tech Student ID, SDC Access ID, and SDC Action Pass, or an SDC Day Pass are required for entry.
Patrons must check in at the multipurpose desk prior to entering.

A non-marking, athletic shoe that covers the entire foot must be worn at all times (any type of shoe that does not cover the entire foot including sandals and Crocs as well as boots, dress shoes, or any other non-athletic shoe is prohibited).
Shirts must be worn at all times - there are no "Shirts" vs "Skins" games allowed.
Volleyball, Basketball, and Badminton may only be permitted on specified courts at designated times. Please check with the desk attendant at check-in.
Kicking or throwing basketballs and/or other equipment towards the wall, ceiling, and/or track is prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
No hanging on the nets or rims.
Fighting, unruly conduct, profanity, or rough play is prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
Equipment checkout will be available, and equipment will be disinfected between uses.

The track is for walkers and runners only; other use of the track is prohibited.
Faster runners have the right of way.
Stretching areas are available outside of the track.
Proper attire is required, including appropriate clean/dry indoor shoes.
For safety purposes, walkers/runners should stay in the designated lanes and be aware and courteous of all other track users around them.
No spectators are allowed on the track.
Misconduct on the indoor track will result in immediate dismissal and removal from the SDC.
