Yoga for Back Health

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. Participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participation. You will receive an admission ticket to present to your instructor on the first day of class.

Therapeutic yoga for a healthy back. Our goal of back pain prevention is to reduce your risk or stop pain from becoming chronic. Learn how to use yoga as a form of self-care with general guidelines and poses to support common back issues. Due to the focus being on modifications and 1 on 1 assists for those suffering with back pain, class size is limited to 6!

About the Instructor

Joan Kero
Joan Kero is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, having graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor with certifications in YogaBack, Yoga Therapy 1, Yoga for Athletes, Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga, Yoga Levels 1 & 2, and Anatomy & Alignment. She has been teaching a variety of yoga classes for the past 13 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and has studied applied kinesiology, sports psychology, intuition, and the body/mind connection. Joan is passionate about health and fitness and enjoys working with clients in all areas of their health and wellness.
