Hockey Camps

Birth Years 2010-2012

For younger players ready to gain fundamental skills and get into the game, Michigan Tech's BY2010-2012 Hockey Camps are the best place to start! Students are given the opportunity to learn each position (except for goaltending), with plenty of practice time—programs are built around daily on-ice instruction, focusing on power-skating, shooting, passing, positional playing, and small area games. Off-ice programming includes hockey skills and age appropriate competitive games. Participants learn and practice under personalized direction from Michigan Tech’s staff as well as current varsity players, alumni and guest instructors.

Our BY2004-2006 camp stresses both individual and team skills, including the role of the forward and defenseman in breakout patterns, neutral-zone techniques, offensive-zone alignments, checking systems, playing position, and team play. Each day, players spend time on the ice developing skills for shooting, puck protection, power-skating, and body contact.
